At FLOW, we specialise in the design of skateable art — sculptural, rideable features that go beyond function to celebrate form, culture, and place. Led by co-director and designer Richard Smith, these pieces are crafted to inspire creativity and bring unique identity to skateable environments.
Skateable art blends sculptural form, cultural storytelling, and functional design to create unique wheeled-play experiences that celebrate place and imagination. These pieces have featured in a range of New Zealand projects, standing out as rideable landmarks that engage communities and elevate their environments.
Depending on the project, skateable art may be designed and fabricated in-house, or constructed in collaboration with contractors as part of a broader build. Each piece is tailored to the site and community — offering something more than a skate obstacle, something that belongs.
GRC Quarterpipe
A prefabricated GRC quarterpipe featuring an integrated galvanised steel subframe, steel coping and architectural corten steel side panels. GRC Manual Ledge
A versatile GRC manual ledge featuring HDG steel edging and a banked approach for ride-on grinds, slides and manuals. Durable, low-maintenance and highly skateable, it integrates seamlessly into skateparks, plazas and street-style layouts.

The FLOW Pump Bump is a dynamic GRC (Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete) feature designed for wheeled play environments. Its smooth, flowing form encourages momentum and rhythm, creating a versatile piece that enhances both skateparks and pump tracks.Crafted with precision, the Pump Bump delivers a perfect finish and is built for durability in high-use public spaces.
