Hot Dip Galvanised Steel

Hot dip galvanised (HDG) steel is a time-tested material in skatepark construction — known for its strength, longevity, and resistance to corrosion. As one of the original materials used in the skatepark industry, it remains a dependable choice for a range of applications today. We continue to use HDG steel for selected standalone features and as functional edging on materials like GRC, where its clean lines and toughness enhance performance and durability. In some cases, we combine HDG with weathered (corten) steel, creating a visually striking contrast between the raw, earthy patina of corten and the clean, industrial finish of galvanised steel. Whether used structurally or as a detail finish, hot dip galvanised steel brings reliable protection, a distinctive aesthetic, and a nod to skatepark tradition — updated for modern, design-led environments.
